Social Action Committee
In 2023, Secretary Lorena Cestou advocated for the creation of a Social Action Committee to focus on a community engagement project relevant to the community where our annual conference would occur. In its first year, the Social Action Committee received funding from NAME to coordinate the Jesse Washington Memorial Walk in Waco, Texas.
Our next conference will be in Houston. If you have any recommendations for us, please reach out!
